🌡️ Hardiness Zones
USDA Zones 3-11. Grown as an annual in most climates, though it can survive light frosts.

Small, spherical, ribbed seeds approximately 3-5mm in diameter, light brown to tan in color. The plant grows as a leafy herb (Cilantro) before producing lacy white flowers and round seed heads.
Growing Information
Growing Season
Cool season; Spring/Fall. Best direct-seeded as it has a taproot. Frost tolerant once established.
Germination
7-14 days at 60-70°F (15-21°C). Light is not required for germination. Cracking seeds gently before planting can improve rates.
Planting Instructions
Plant 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep. Space 2-6 inches apart in rows 12-18 inches apart. Prefers well-drained, sandy loam soil with pH 6.2-6.8.
Sunlight & Water Needs
Full sun to partial shade (partial shade helps prevent bolting). Consistent moisture is required; do not allow soil to dry out completely.
Companion Plants
Grows well with Dill, Anise, and Spinach. Avoid planting near Fennel as they can cross-pollinate or inhibit growth.
Special Characteristics
Pollinator-friendly flowers attract hoverflies and predatory wasps. Seeds have citrusy, warm culinary uses. Known to bolt quickly in high heat.
