About This Seed
Seeds are dark, hard, oval-to-oblong 'barrels' about 1-1.5cm long with a slightly pitted texture. The plant produces large, shield-shaped peltate leaves and spectacular pink or white multi-petalled blooms.
Growing Information

Plant in Spring or Summer when water temperatures reach at least 70°F (21°C).
Germination
Takes 5-20 days. Requires scarification (nicking the hard outer shell) to allow water penetration. Keep in warm water (75-80°F) until sprouted.
Planting Instructions
Once sprouted, plant in heavy clay soil specifically for ponds. Depth should be 2-4 inches below the water surface initially, gradually lowering as the plant grows.
